Growth Engine

Growth Engine

Navigate the 30–100 people growth phase, build a practical growth strategy, and strengthen commercial decision-making for the next stage of your business.

For the messy middle

  • Your team is growing, but decisions still come back to the founder.
  • You have traction, but your growth model feels harder to repeat.
  • The business is busier, but not always clearer.
  • Your channels, roles or priorities are starting to blur.
  • You know the next stage needs more structure, but you don’t want to overbuild too early.

A practical program for growth

Most startup founders approach scaling in one of two ways: copying what worked elsewhere or figuring it out on the fly, both understandable, and both costly.

Growth Engine offers a shared framework to build the right operational structure at the right time. Rather than borrowing someone else’s playbook, it equips you with principles you can apply to your own context, team, and stage of growth.

Grounded in organisational research, the program is built on a core insight: as startups grow through predictable size thresholds, the structures they need change fundamentally.

Growth Engine blends practical frameworks, expert facilitation, and peer learning, so you leave with a clear diagnosis, sharper priorities, and an action-ready plan.

Facilitated by

Charlie Simson
Scale-up coach and founder, Plucky Frank

Charlie works with startups and scale‑ups on people, culture, and operational design, combining behavioural science and adult development with a direct, practical style. They’ve coached 27 founders and worked with Atticus, Ailo, Lendi Group, Nutromics, Neighbourlytics, Atlassian, and Wade Institute.

Charlie is driven by one question: why do smart teams keep making the same scaling mistakes at 30, 50, and 100 people? This program replaces copy‑paste playbooks with stage‑appropriate structures and founder behaviours that actually work in the real world.
