Lauren Capelin is a community strategist and expert in disruptive innovation, with a deep focus on generative AI, web3, fintech, and early-stage investing. As VC Business Development Manager for ANZ at AWS Startups, Lauren connects emerging founders with the resources they need to scale globally. Her experience spans key leadership roles, including Principal at Startmate, where she led investment programs and founder scouting, and Partner of Platform at Reinventure Fund, shaping Australia’s fintech ecosystem.
Dan Madhavan brings a passion for impact-driven investing, with a track record of using business and finance to create a sustainable and equitable future. As a founding partner at Ecotone Partners, he has been at the forefront of impact investing in Australia. Dan’s leadership experience includes serving as CEO of Impact Investment Group (IIG) and Impact Investing Australia, where he helped shape national and global investment frameworks. With a background spanning 13 years at JBWere and Goldman Sachs JBWere, he combines deep financial expertise with a commitment to meaningful change.
Lauren and Dan join our exceptional lineup of lead facilitators, including Professor Colin McLeod and Pedram Mokrian, ensuring that VC Catalyst remains the leading investor education program for those looking to make high-impact early-stage investments.
Founding VC Catalyst lead facilitator Rachael Neumann will continue her involvement in the program as an advisor and guest speaker.
