The seventh Melbourne SOUP event is taking place on Thursday the 20th of February, hosted right here at Wade Institute.
Melbourne SOUP is a community of people interested in doing good. SOUP events are a gathering of good causes, good food and good people.
Attendees pay $15 and hear 4 presentations on ideas or projects that address a social or environmental issue. Everyone then enjoys a bowl of soup and some live entertainment, while voting for one of the presentations. The presenter who receives the most votes takes home the majority of the ticket money raised, and returns to the next SOUP event to update everyone on their progress.
Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship presents the VC Catalyst Going Global Pitch Competition powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Watch five of Australia’s hottest startups pitch their hearts out for the chance to go global with major AWS prizes. Join a panel of international Wade Institute VC Catalyst venture capital experts and mentors, including Stanford’s Pedram Mokrian and Google Ventures’ Jess Verrilli.
MC’d by AWS and Startmate’s Rachael Neumann and supported by LaunchVic, audience members will have the exclusive opportunity to submit questions for the judging panel before cheering on your favourite startups.
