Melbourne Conversations: the Startup Bubble

A successful startup is often the exception to the rule. There’s a huge gap between the “unicorns” that employ thousands, and the mountain of failed ventures beneath them.

In a post-pandemic world, many business leaders predict that startups will drive Melbourne’s economic recovery. What does it mean for us to pin our hopes to such a hit-and-miss business model? Is the volatility of startups a recipe for disaster, or the perfect fit for a volatile world?

Join the panel of business, anthropology and entrepreneurial experts as they unpack the power of startups, the flaws that come with them and what they can do for our city in 2021 and beyond.

Hear from our very own Director, Innovation and Enterprise @Katelyn Sharratt as she shares insights gleaned through the delivery of Wade Institute programs University of Melbourne’s Master of Entrepreneurship, VC Catalyst, and UpSchool.

Event hosted by Melbourne Knowledge Week.
